Aerohub at Newquay Cornwall Airport opens doors for Bloodhound SSC testing

Aerohub at Newquay Cornwall Airport has today opened its doors to the BLOODHOUND SSC project team, who will use the airport’s state-of-the-art facilities for testing over the coming two years as it aims to set a new World Land Speed Record of 1,000mph.

The unique rocket and jet powered car is scheduled to complete tests at the airport before heading to South Africa for the Land Speed Record attempt in 2015. It will then return to Cornwall for further testing before it goes back to South Africa in 2016 to attempt to achieve 1,000mph.
